Productions issued State Parks a check (number 0505078) for $750.00. The production schedule was May 29-31. The fee was $750.00. 26. On June 1, 2017, Minim Louisiana Productions issued Mr. Schick a check for$800.00. 27. Between 2015 and his termination date with the Office of State Parks on November 11, 2017, Arthur Schick improperly received a total of$12,100 from various production companies in derogation of the provisions of the Code of Governmental Ethics. Laws 28. La. R.S. 42:1111A(1)(a)provides with respect to payment not duly entitled to receive: A. (1)(a) No public servant shall receive anything of economic value, other than compensation and benefits from the governmental entity to which he is duly entitled, for the performance of the duties and responsibilities of his office or position. La. R.S. 42:1111C(1)(a) provides with respect to payments from nonpublic sources: C. (1)(a) no public servant shall receive any thing of economic value for any service, the subject matter of which is devoted substantially to the responsibilities, programs, or operations of the agency of the public servant and in which the public servant has participated. La. R.S. 42:1111C(2)(d) provides with respect to payments from nonpublic sources: C.(2) No public servant and no legal entity in which the public servant exercises control or owns an interest in excess of twenty-five percent, shall receive any thing of economic value for or in consideration of services rendered, or to be rendered,to or for any person during his public service unless such services are: (d)Neither performed for nor compensated by any person from whom such public servant would be prohibited by R.S. 42:1115(A)(1) or(B) from receiving a gift.
