3. <br /> Mr. Klein's regular working hours were 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through <br /> Friday. <br /> 4. <br /> After-hours, weekends, or holiday animal control assignments were to be prioritized by <br /> the WFPSO duty officer, and the Animal Control Officer could be called to duty if necessary. <br /> 5. <br /> The WFPSO policy on conflicts of interest state, "As a result of his/her position, no... <br /> employee of the Sheriff's Office shall directly or indirectly solicit or receive any privilege, <br /> rebate, reduced rate, or any other thing of value from any person, firm, or corporation doing <br /> business with the Sheriff's Office. <br /> 6. <br /> Invoices were issued from Mr. Klein to Entergy Corporation on July 13, 2016, August <br /> 13, 2016, October 13, 2016, and November 11, 2016 for the total sum of five thousand two <br /> hundred fifty dollars ($5,250.00) for the rental of live animal traps; the removal of nuisance <br /> animals; and, the capture and removal of hogs from the River Bend station. <br /> 7. <br /> Dan Klein, Jr. received full payment of all invoices from Entergy Corporation via an <br /> Entergy Corporation credit card. <br /> 8. <br /> The animal removal Mr. Klein performed for Entergy Corporation should have been part <br /> of his normal duties as an Animal Control Officer as Mr. Klein was occasionally dispatched by <br /> the Sheriff s Office to handle animal situations at the River Bend station. <br /> 2 <br />
