using the town credit card to purchase clothing at Men's Warehouse and turning in time sheets <br /> for State overtime pay when he was actually in Gulf Shores on vacation. <br /> 15. <br /> Dennis Hill was compensated nine hundred an ninety-four dollars ($994.00) for thirty- <br /> five hours of overtime that he did not work from May 23, 2015 through May 28, 2017. <br /> 16. <br /> La. R.S. 42:1111A provides that no public servant shall receive anything of economic <br /> value, other than compensation and benefits from the governmental entity to which he is duly <br /> entitled, for the performance of the duties and responsibilities of his office or position. <br /> 17. <br /> Based on the foregoing facts, Dennis Hill, while serving as an employee and appointed <br /> Chief of Police for the Town of Killian, violated La. R.S. 42:1111A(1)(a) by purchasing <br /> approximately five hundred fifty-five dollars and eighty-one cents ($555.81) worth of gas for <br /> personal purchases, a four hundred sixty dollars and thirty-six cent ($460.36) suit from Men's <br /> Warehouse for personal use, a sixty dollar ($60.00) personal NRA membership, and his receipt <br /> of nine hundred an ninety-four dollars ($994.00) for thirty-five hours of overtime that he did not <br /> work all of which he was not duly entitled to receive for the performance of his duties and <br /> responsibilities as Chief of Police. <br /> 18. <br /> In accordance with La. R.S. 42:1141C (3)(b)(iv), the Board designates Brett A. Robinson <br /> and Tracy M. Barker as the Board's trial attorneys in this matter. <br /> WHEREFORE, the Louisiana Board of Ethics requests that the Ethics Adjudicatory <br /> Board (a) conduct a hearing on the foregoing charges; (b) determine that Dennis Hill violated La. <br /> 4 <br />
