economic value for services rendered to any person who conducts operations or activities that are <br /> regulated by the public servant's agency, who has or is seeking to obtain a business or financial <br /> relationship with the public servant's agency,or who has a substantial economic interest that can be <br /> affected by the performance of the public employee's duties. Therefore,while acting as the reviewer <br /> of a public contract, M and E Consulting would be prohibited from accepting compensation for <br /> services provided to those contractors whose work is reviewed. These are general guidelines and <br /> if a specific situation presents itself in the future the Board would request that you submit a more <br /> detailed opinion request at that time. <br /> This advisory opinion is based solely on the facts as set forth herein. Changes to the facts <br /> presented may result in a different application of the provisions of the Code of Ethics. The Board <br /> issues no opinion as to past conduct or laws other than Code of Governmental Ethics.
