RECEIVED 2011 AUG 23 AEi 10:211OWN OF ALBANY r.v,Box 1000 29565 South Montpelier Albany,I.,ouisiana 70711 August 14,2017 David M.Bordelon Louisiana Board of Ethics P.O.Box 4368 Baton Rouge,Louisiana 70821 Dear Mr.Bordelon: This letter is to serve as the disclosure plan for business involved between the Town of Albany, Councilwoman Kim Stewart, and Bankston Auto Parts & Fuel Services ("Bankston Auto"), in reference to La.Rev.Stat.42:1123(22).As mentioned in the 2010 census,the Town of Albany has a population of 1,088.The Town of Albany would like to continue to use Bankston Auto, as it has previously for over fifty years, as it would place a hardship on the maintenance department to do business in another town or parish. Therefore, in compliance with the aforementioned statute, a proposed plan of action is as follows: 1) Councilwoman Kim Stewart will not participate in any transaction of the Town of Albany's purchases of equipment,fuel,parts,or services provided by Bankston Auto. 2) Councilwoman Kim Stewart will not discuss any Town business with Bankston Auto. 3) Councilwoman Kim Stewart will still participate in normal Town business at Town meetings,such as approving the monthly bills,which is the council's responsibility. 4) We are aware that any single transactions over$250.00 are subject to specific rules in La.Rev.Stat.42:1123(22). 5) We are aware that single transactions that are under $250.00, but in the aggregate over a calendar year are over$2,500.00,are also subject to specific rules in La.Rev. Stat.42:1123(22). Our Town Clerk will file the required(January,April,July,October) affidavits in a timely manner. Thank you and the Board for all of your assistance with this matter.
