Mr. Marts is employed by Clarence.Marts Contractors, Inc. as the Vice-President. <br /> Clarence Marts Contractors,Inc. is owned by Clarence Marts,Jr.,the father of Brian Marts. <br /> Prior to his appointment, the Ambulance District requested bids for the construction of an <br /> Operations Station. Picciola Construction Company, Inc. was awarded the construction <br /> project and would like to hire Clarence Marts Contractors, Inc. to perform cement work for <br /> the construction of the Operations Station. <br /> LAW <br /> La. R.S. 42:1113B provides that no appointed member of any board or commission, <br /> member of his immediate family, or legal entity in which he has a substantial economic <br /> interest shall bid on or enter into or be in any way interested in any contract, subcontract, <br /> or other transaction which is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such <br /> appointed member. <br /> La.
