Therefore, Ms. Douglas vio(ated <br /> Section 1111A when she received those cash payments. <br /> If this matter proceeded to a public hearing before the Ethics Adjudicatory Board, and the <br /> Ethics Adjudicatory Board found a violation of the Code of Governmental Ethics, the Ethics <br /> Adjudicatory Board could impose a fine of up to$10,000 for each violation of the Code pursuant to <br /> La.R.S.42:1153 and an additional penalty pursuant to La.R.S_42:1155. In this particular situation, <br /> the parties have agreed to resalve this matter amicably. Therefore,it is the conclusion of the Board <br /> that the interests of the public and judicial efficiency would be served throu�h the publication of this <br /> Consent Opinion with the BOE recognizing that Ms.Douglas has made restitution in the amount of <br /> $10,525.67 and imposing no additional civil penalty against Tequella Douglas. <br /> VI. <br /> ORDER: <br /> Far the foregoing reasons_ <br /> IT IS ORDERED that Tequella Douglas,in her capacity as the Chief Civil Deputy,Deputy <br /> Tax Collector of the St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office,vialated La.R.S. 42:111 lA by virtue of her <br /> receipt of$10,525.67 in cash payments made to the Sheriff's O�ce for tax payments which she was <br /> not entitled to receive for the performance of her job duties as Chief Civil Deputy, Deputy Tax <br /> Collector. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that no civil penalty be assessed upon Tequella Douglas. <br />
