Ethics Board Docket Nos. 2023-398 <br /> Page 8 of 12 <br /> If this matter proceeded to a public hearing before the Ethics Adjudicatory Board, and the <br /> Ethics Adjudicatory Board found a violation of the Code of Governmental Ethics, the Ethics <br /> Adjudicatory Board could impose a fine of up to $10,000 for each violation of the Code by Michael <br /> Diaz and Gabriel Diaz. Further, an additional penalty in an amount not to exceed one and one half <br /> times of the economic advantage could be assessed against Gabriel Diaz. In this particular situation, <br /> it is the conclusion of the Board that the interest of the public would be seroed by, and the parties <br /> have agreed to resolving this matter amicably through the publication of this joint Consent Opinion <br /> with the imposition of a �7,500 civil penalty assessed against Michael Diaz. <br />
