You provided that you retired from the <br /> St. Tammany Parish Library in 2007 and at age 65 you will be eligible to apply for the Medicare <br /> supplement that you earned while serving as an employee of the St. Tammany Parish Library. You <br /> supplied a statement from Library Director Donald Westmoreland which states that you earned the <br /> benefit prior to 2007 and the benefit has not changed since 2002. <br /> The Board concluded, and instructed me to inform you, that the situation presented <br /> herein does not present an issue under the jurisdiction of the Ethics Board. The Code of <br /> Governmental Ethics would not prohibit you from receiving your duly entitled Medicare <br /> benefits. <br /> This advisory opinion is based solely on the facts as set forth herein. Changes to the <br /> facts as presented may result in a different application of the provisions of the Code of <br /> Ethics. The Board issues no opinion as to past conductor as to laws other than the Code of <br /> Governmental Ethics.
