• • <br /> LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> IN THE MATTER OF CHRISTOPHER WEDDLE CONSENT ORDER NO.: 2015-369 <br /> and DIVERSION RESOURCES <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics("the Board"),Christopher Weddle and Diversion Resources <br /> enter into the following agreement to resolve the charges brought by the Board against Christopher <br /> Weddle and Diversion Resources on December 17,2015. <br /> 1. <br /> Christopher Weddle has been employed by the Kenner City Attorney's Office since August <br /> 21, 2006 as a Kenner City Prosecutor, and at all times pertinent herein. <br /> 2. <br /> Christopher Weddle is the sole owner and operator of Diversion Resources,a company that <br /> offers domestic violence offenders a pre-trial diversion(PTD)program.A fee is charged to and paid <br /> by the eligible offenders to Diversion Resources for enrollment into the PTD program. <br /> 3. <br /> The Kenner City Attorney's Office regulates the Kenner Mayor's Court Diversion Program. <br /> As part of the Kenner Mayor's Court Diversion Program,a Kenner City Prosecutor personally meets <br /> with the offender and/or his attorneys, and offers the offender an opportunity to enroll in a PTD <br /> program in lieu of a trial. <br /> 4. <br /> From February of 2014 to October of 2014, Diversion Resources received $9,000 in fees <br /> from participants in the P'i'll program. <br /> 5. <br /> Christopher Weddle,from February of 2014 to October of 2014, at a time when he served <br /> as a prosecutor of the City of Kenner,received a thing of economic value,through his wholly owned <br /> company,which was for counseling serviced,received from persons who were participating in the <br /> pretrial diversion program regulated by his agency. <br /> 6. <br /> Diversion Resources, from February of 2014 to October of 2014, received a thing of <br /> economic value in fees for counseling services from persons who were participating in the pretrial <br /> diversion program regulated by the Kenner City Attorney's Office, at a time when Christopher <br /> Weddle,the sole owner and operator of Diversion Resources,served as a part-time prosecutor for <br /> the City of Kenner. <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br />
