LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> IN THE MATTER OF KANEASHA GOSTON CONSENT ORDER NO.: 2014-880 <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics("the Board") and Kaneasha Goston enter into the following <br /> agreement to resolve the charges brought by the Board against Kaneasha Goston on September 17, <br /> 2015: <br /> 1. <br /> Kaneasha Goston was an employee of the Department of Children and Family Services from <br /> October 1, 2010 until May 23, 2014. <br /> 2. <br /> From 2010 until March of 2013, Kaneasha Goston used a state credit card, issued to the <br /> Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services. <br /> 3. <br /> Ms. Goston used the State issued credit card for the personal purchase of gasoline, rental <br /> vehicles, and hotel rooms. <br /> 4. <br /> Kaneasha Goston was not entitled to use Department of Children and Family Services issued <br /> credit cards for her personal use. <br /> 5. <br /> From 2010 until March of 2013, Kaneasha Goston engaged in a scheme to create and use <br /> fraudulent documents to request and receive reimbursement from the State of Louisiana for official <br /> travel that did not occur. Ms. Goston approved fraudulent documents that stated she had incurred <br /> travel expenses related to official travel which did not occur. <br /> 6. <br /> La.R.S.42:1111A provides that no public servant shall receive any thing of economic value, <br /> other than compensation and benefits from the governmental entity to which she is duly entitled,for <br /> the performance of the duties and responsibilities of her office or position. <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br />
