LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> IN THE MATTER OF <br /> * DOCKET NO. 2014-1419 <br /> * <br /> MIKE CRAWFORD * <br /> CONSENT ORDER <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics(the"Board"),pursuant to the authority contained in La.R.S. <br /> 42:1141, conducted a confidential investigation concerning Mike Crawford: <br /> 1. <br /> Mike Crawford has been employed by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office since 1998. <br /> 2. <br /> From November 2011 to October 19, 2014, Mike Crawford served as Major, Chief of <br /> Operations, in the Operational Services Department for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office. <br /> 3. <br /> As the Chief of Operations,Mike Crawford was responsible for overseeing the bidding and <br /> procurement activities for purchasing any equipment used under the scope of support services,and <br /> for coordinating purchases and activities of technical services personnel. <br /> 4. <br /> Between 2008 through 2011, Mike Crawford was responsible for purchasing a wide range <br /> of products for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office and all requests for purchasing were approved <br /> by Mr. Crawford. <br /> Page 1 of 8 <br />
