LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> IN RE: MATTER OF JOHN LEWIS,JR CONSENT ORDER NO.: 2015-032 <br /> AND JOHN LEWIS, SR. <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics ("the Board"), after conducting a confidential <br /> investigation pursuant to La. R.S. 42:1141.4, finds the following in regard to John Lewis, Sr. in <br /> his capacity as Acting Warden for Bayou Dorcheat Correction Center(BDCC). <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics ("the Board"), after conducting a confidential <br /> investigation pursuant to La. R.S. 42:1141.4, finds the following in regard to John Lewis, Jr. in <br /> his capacity as an employee of Bayou Dorcheat Correction Center(BDCC). <br /> I. <br /> John Lewis, Sr. was appointed as Acting Warden for BDCC on April 20, 2009 by <br /> Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton. Approximately one year later, John Lewis, Sr. (herein after <br /> Warden Lewis)was appointed as Warden for BDCC,where he still serves to date. <br /> II. <br /> John Lewis, Jr., was hired in October 13, 2010 by the Webster Parish Sheriffs Office; he <br /> was assigned to work in BDCC from January 2011 until February 2015. <br /> Warden Lewis has supervision over BDCC and its employees. <br /> Iv. <br /> Warden Lewis is the biological father of John Lewis, Jr. <br /> V. <br /> La. R.S. 42:1119A provides that no member of the immediate family of an agency head <br /> shall be employed in his agency. <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br />
