Ethics Board Docket No. 2022-054 <br /> Page 3 of 9 <br /> 5. <br /> On December 7, 2020, Ms. Laborde received a Christmas bonus in the amount of$1,250. <br /> After taxes and other deductions, she received a check in the amount of$1,028.37. <br /> 6. <br /> Ms. Laborde terminated her employment with the LSBOE in August 2021. <br /> IV. <br /> PROVISIONS OF LAW: <br /> 1. <br /> Section 1111A of the Ethics Code prohibits a public servant from receiving anything of <br /> economic value, other than compensation and benefits from the governmental entity to which he <br /> is duly entitled, for the performance of the duties and responsibilities of his office or position. <br /> Section 111 lA of the Ethics Code provides in pertinent part: <br /> §1111. Payment from nonpublic sources <br /> A.
