LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> CONSENT OPINION <br /> RE: IN THE MATTER OF BOARD NO: 2024-584 <br /> RODNEY MADERE,JR <br /> The Board of Ethics (the "BOE"), pursuant to the authority contained in the Louisiana <br /> Code of Governmental Ethics (hereinafter referred to as the"Ethics Code"), La. R.S. 42:1101, et. <br /> seq., and particularly Section 1141 of the Ethics Code, conducted a confidential investigation <br /> concerning information that Rodney Madere, Jr., in his capacity as an employee of by the St. <br /> Charles Parish Sherif�s Office, violated La. R.S. 42:1111(A)(1)(a) by virtue of his taking items <br /> belonging to the Sheriff's Office to which he was not duly entitled to receive for the performance <br /> of his job duties; and,by falsifying his time sheets to gain compensation from the Sheriffls Office <br /> that he was not duly entitled to receive for the performance of his job duties totaling$75,028.77. <br /> On the basis of information obtained during the investigation, and with the concurrence of <br /> Rodney Madere, Jr.,the BOE and Rodney Madere, Jr. enter into this Consent Opinion as follows: <br /> I. <br /> PARTIES <br /> The Parties hereto are: <br /> Rodney Madere, Jr., a person of the full age of majority, domiciled in the Parish <br /> of Lafayette, with a last known address of 100 Arapahoe Drive, Lafayette, <br /> Louisiana, 70503; and, <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics, an agency of the State of Louisiana, whose <br /> mailing address is P.O. Box 4368, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70821. <br />
