Ethics Board Docket No. 2024-584 <br /> Page 5 of 7 <br /> of the BOE that the interests of the public and judicial efficiency would be served through the <br /> publication of this Consent Opinion with the BOE adopting the restitution paid to the St. Charles <br /> Parish Sheriffls Office in the amount of$75,000.00 and fine in the amount of$5,000.00. <br /> VI. <br /> ORDER <br /> For the foregoing reasons: <br /> IT IS ORDERED that Rodney Madere, Jr., in his capacity as an employee of the St. <br /> Charles Parish Sheriff's Office,violated La. R.S. 42:1111(A)(1)(a)by virtue of his receipt of items <br /> and unauthorized payments totaling$75,028.77, which he was not duly entitled to receive for the <br /> performance of his duties as an employee of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the restitution paid to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's <br /> Office in the amount of$75,028.77 and fine in the amount of$5,000.00 is hereby adopted and no <br /> additional civil penalty is assessed in this matter. <br />
