Opinions Rendered by the Louisiana Board of Ethics
As of January 1, 1997, the Board of Ethics for Elected Officials and the Commission on Ethics for Public Employees were dissolved and replaced with the Louisiana Board of Ethics -- a single entity. This site contains rulings, advisory opinions and consent opinions issued subsequent to the first meeting of the Louisiana Board of Ethics in February of 1997. The documents are full-text indexed and catalogued by our attorneys for field and subject matter searches. Rulings made by the previous bodies can be found at the Louisiana Ethics Administration Program office. The office is currently working on adding these earlier opinions to the search repository and plans to have the complete set of opinions available by January 2012.
