Recovery may include, in addition to an amount equal to such economic advantage, <br /> penalties not to exceed one half of the amount of the economic advantage. <br /> 16. <br /> Based on the foregoing facts herein, Jeffery Lirette, While serving as a Police Officer with <br /> the Houma Police Department and Supervisor of the Houma Police Department Narcotics <br /> Division,violated La. R.S. 42:1111 A by receiving a thing of economic value for Which he Was not <br /> duly entitled to receive for the performance of his job duties as a Police Officer and Supervisor <br /> With the Houma Police Department when he received $5,550.00 in Houma Police Department <br /> funds by his altering, fabricating, and forging Criminal Informant forms and other reports and <br /> When he received $1,000.00 by fabricating an Evidence Receipt. <br /> 17. <br /> Based on the foregoing facts herein,Jeffery Lirette,in his capacity as a Police Officer with <br /> the Houma Police Department and Supervisor of the Houma Police Department Narcotics <br /> Division, violated La. R.S. 42:1112A when he participated in transactions involving the Houma <br /> Police Department in Which he had a substantial economic interest When he altered, fabricated and <br /> forged Criminal Informant forms and other reports resulting in his receipt of$5,650.00 in Houma <br /> Police Department funds and when he fabricated an Evidence Receipt resulting in his receipt of <br /> $1,000.00 in Houma Police Department funds. <br /> 18. <br /> In accordance with La. R.S. 42:1141 C(3)(b)(iv), on April S, 2021, the BOE designated <br /> Tracy M. Barker, David Bordelon, Suzanne Q. Mooney, LaToya Jordan, Gregory Thibodeaux, <br /> and Charles Reeves as the BOE's trial attorneys in this matter. <br /> Page 6of8 <br />
