STATE of LOUISIANA <br /> DIVISION of ADMINISTRATIVE LAW <br /> LOUISIANA BOARD of ETHICS * DOCKET No. <br /> IN THE MATTER OF <br /> LIONEL "LON" BURNS AGENCY TRACKING No. 5121-027 <br /> _REQUEST_FOR HEARING, <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics, in its capacity as the Supervisory Committee on Campaign <br /> Finance Disclosure, does hereby file this request for a hearing to be scheduled to consider the <br /> following: <br /> I. <br /> Lionel "Lon" Burns was an unsuccessful candidate for the office of Judge, Criminal <br /> District Court, Section G. Orleans Parish, in the November 3, 2020 election. <br /> II. <br /> The office of Judge, Criminal District Court, Section fir, Orleans Parish, is a"Major" level <br /> office. La. R.S.18:1484(1) requires each candidate for a "Major" level office' to file certain <br /> campaign finance disclosure reports. <br /> III. <br /> La. R.S. 18:1495.4A provides that the candidate is responsible for the filing of campaign <br /> finance disclosure reports by the deadlines provided in the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act <br /> (CFDA). <br /> IV. <br /> La. R.S. 18:1505.1(A) provides that failure to submit the reports required by the CFDA <br /> shall constitute a violation of the CFDA.
