5. <br /> The Hospital provides housing, 24-hour care and services, including speech therapy, <br /> occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological services and vocational training, to people <br /> with intellectual and developmental disabilities; the Hospital's primary revenue streams are <br /> Medicaid and parish property taxes, with the majority coming from Medicaid. <br /> 6. <br /> On September 11, 2009, the Hospital hired Edward E. "Ted" Calloway ("Respondent") <br /> as a full time IT technician in the Finance Department. <br /> 7. <br /> On November 8, 2016, the Hospital promoted the Respondent to Chief Financial Officer, <br /> a position he held until the Hospital terminated his employment on October 28, 2019. <br /> 8. <br /> During his tenure as Chief Financial Officer, the Respondent received the following in <br /> wages, tips and other compensation: <br /> 2016: $471151.00 <br /> 2017: $66,248.54 <br /> 2018: $70,378.82 <br /> 2019: $771103.37 <br /> 9. <br /> As the Hospital's Chief Financial Officer, the Respondent's duties and responsibilities <br /> included developing and implementing procedures for financial operations; providing supervision <br /> and oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, IRS 1099 reports, depreciation <br /> schedules, the general ledger, budgets, financial statements and cost reports; information <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br />
