The Code of Governmental Ethics prohibits a former employee of Louisiana Rehabilitation Services ("LRS"), for a period of two years from the date of his retirement, from rendering job placement services on a contractual basis to the LRS Shreveport Regional Office since he previously rendered job placement services to the Shreveport Regional Office during his employment with LRS.

Your duties included direct job placement, on-the-job training development, <br /> vocational assessment and counseling, employment development and follow-up, resource and <br /> consumer development, case management, public speaking, and job fair participation. Your <br /> services were provided to eligible individuals with disabilities who were cleared for employment <br /> by Vocational Rehabilitation ("VR") Counselors. <br /> On May 2, 2022, you became a District Supervisor for the Shreveport Regional Office, in which <br /> you supervised and approved the caseloads of three VR counselors who determined individual <br /> eligibility, developed a specific Individualized Plan of Employment for eligible individuals, <br /> referred approved individuals to Job Placement Vendors, and approved Job Placement Vendor <br /> authorizations. You also supervised and approved the work duties of two Rehabilitation Counselor <br /> associates, who reviewed and submitted payment authorizations for services rendered by job <br /> placement vendors, such as colleges/universities, vocational-technical schools, and supportive <br /> employment vendors; supported VR Counselors by keeping up with individual records for select <br /> caseloads; and, contacted individuals with expired cases and college/university liaisons.
