ORDER <br /> FOR THE FOREGOING REASONS: <br /> IT IS ORDERED that based on the foregoing, Kevin M. Berken, violated La. R.S. <br /> 18:1505.2(I)(5)(a) by virtue of him using his campaign fund to pay a company in which his son <br /> has an ownership interest a total of fourteen thousand four hundred eight dollars and ninety-eight <br /> cents ($14,408.98) for the purpose of campaign consulting and campaign literature. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a civil penalty of$500.00,payable to the Treasurer of <br /> the State of Louisiana, is hereby assessed upon Kevin M.Berken,and that in the event of a failure <br /> to pay, the Board of Ethics may file suit to compel immediate payment of any balance due. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Kevin M.Berken shall be responsible for the payment <br /> of all court costs associated with the action against him by the Louisiana Board of Ethics bearing <br /> Docket Number C-061920 in the 31St Judicial District Court. <br /> Page 4 of 6 <br />
