LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> CONSENT OPINION <br /> DATE: February 1, 2022 BD NO. 2020-817 <br /> RE: IN THE HATTER OF EVAN ALFORD <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics(hereinafter the"BOE")pursuant to the authority contained <br /> in the Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics ("Code"), La. R.S. 42:1101, el. seq., and <br /> particularly Section 1141 of the Code, conducted a Confidential Investigation concerning <br /> information that Evan Alford, in his capacity as a (former) Commissioner of the Touro Bouligny <br /> Security District, may have violated La. R.S. 42:1.112(B)(1) of the Code by virtue of by virtue of <br /> his participation in transaction involving Alford Advertising, Inc. (a company owned and operated <br /> by his father). <br /> On the basis of information obtained during the Confidential Investigation, and with the <br /> concurrence of Evan Alford,the BOE and Evan Alford enter into this Consent Opinion as follows� <br /> PARTIES <br /> I <br /> The Parties hereto are: <br /> A),Evan Alford("Mr.Alford"),a person of the full age of majority, domiciled in the Parish <br /> of Orleans, and residing at 911 Nashville Avenue, New Orleans,Louisiana 70115, and, <br /> B). The Louisiana Board of Ethics, an agency of the executive branch of the State of <br /> Louisiana, domiciled in Parish of East Baton Rouge and whose mailing address is P.O. <br /> Box 4368, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70821. <br />
