Definitions Unless the context clearly indicates otherwise,the following words and terms,when used in this Chapter, shall have the following meanings: (2)(a)(iv) defines "agency" to mean for public servants of political subdivisions, it shall mean the agency in which the public servant serves, except that for members of any governing authority and for the elected or appointed chief executive of a governmental entity,it shall mean the governmental entity.Public servants of political subdivisions shall include, but shall not be limited to, elected officials and public employees of municipalities, parishes, and other political subdivisions; sheriffs and their employees;district attorneys and their employees;coroners and their employees; and clerks of court and their employees.. (9)defines "elected official"to mean any person holding an office in a governmental entity which is filled by the vote of the appropriate electorate. It shall also include any person appointed to fill a vacancy in such offices. (16)defines"person"to mean an individual or legal entity other than a governmental entity, or an agency thereof. (19) defines "public servant" to mean a public employee or an elected official. (20.1) defines"service"to mean the performance of work,duties,responsibilities,or the leasing, rental, or sale of movable or immovable property. 3. The following provisions proscribe the penalties the Ethics Adjudicatory Board may assess if the Ethics Adjudicatory Board determines a violation of the Code of Governmental Ethics has occurred: §1153. Penalties A. Upon a determination that any elected official or other person has violated any provision of any law within the jurisdiction of the Board of Ethics except violations of the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act which shall be governed by Chapter 11 of Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, the Ethics Adjudicatory Board
