Ethics Boarcl Docket Nos. 2024-083 <br /> Page 5 of IO <br /> 4. <br /> The following pravisians proscrihe the penalties the Ethics Adjudicatory Board may assess <br /> if the Ethics Adjudicatory Board determines a violation of the Code of Goverrtmental Ethics has <br /> occurred: <br /> §1153. Penalties <br /> B. Upon a deierm�nation that any public employee or other person has violated a.ny <br /> provision of any law within the jurisdiction of the Board af Ethics except violations <br /> of the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act which sh�ll be governed by Chapter 11 of <br /> Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, the Ethics Adjudicatory Board <br /> may remove, suspend, or order a reduction in pay, or demotion o# the puhlic <br /> employee or ol:her person,or impose a fine of not more than ten thousand dallars, ar <br /> both. <br /> §1155. Pena�Eies <br /> A. If an investigation conductecl pursuant to this Part reveals that any public servar�t <br /> or other person has violated any law within the jurisdiction of the Board af Ethics to <br /> his economic advantage, and after an adjudicatory l�earing on th�matter, the Ethics <br /> Adjudicatary Board may order the payment of penatties, Recovery anay inelude, in <br /> addition to an amount equal to such ecQnomic advantage,penalties not to exceed one <br /> haif of the amount of the economic advantage. <br /> �. <br /> O�'IN�OlV: <br /> It is the opinion af the Board that Kenyata Lands violated La.
