$10,400.00 and check #60324 for $7,550.48, were purportedly paid to LED per the <br /> Library's QuickBooks and cleared the bank. The Accounts Receivable Manager for <br /> LED confirmed that these checks were not received by or deposited by LED. The two <br /> checks were deposited into an account at Capital One Bank,which is different than that <br /> of LED's financial institution,Hancock Whitney Bank. The Capital One Bank account <br /> was in the name of Cornell Watkins,Ms.Michelen's fiance. After the two checks were <br /> deposited into Cornell Watkins's account, two personal checks were issued from his <br /> account to Dulce Michelen. <br /> 26. <br /> Dulce Michelen was arrested by the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff on November 21, <br /> 2018. On May 22, 2019, a Bill of Information was filed with the St. John.the Baptist Parish Clerk <br /> of Court, charging Dulce Michelen with the following: <br /> • Count 1: Malfeasance in Office by Performing Duty in an Unlawful Manner <br /> • Count 2: Filing/Maintaining a False Public Record <br /> 9 Count 3: Bank Fraud <br /> • Count 4: Money Laundering <br /> ■ Count 5: Computer Fraud <br /> • Count 6: Theft of more than$5,000.00 but less than$25,000.00 <br /> On June 12, 2019,Dulce Michelen pled not guilty to all six charges.
